VIRTUAL TRIP

Multiculturality is a very predominant aspect that defines the context in which this project will take place. Given the fact that most of the participants’ background is different, the diversity regarding cultures is very rich. It may be thought that the multiculturality that conveys in this school is not taken advantage of. This, together with a personal passion towards traveling has been the main reason for which the decision to base this project on traveling was taken. The project is rather autonomous in the sense that students take the responsibility of their own learning based on the teacher’s basic guidelines. In addition to that, the project is really assorted as many different activities of different kinds take part of it. There are oral activities, writing activities, activities to research information and dialogues, arts and crafts among others. Last but not least, it must be highlighted that this project will revolve around cooperation and collaboration from which participants will learn and enrich a lot.

As will be seen, in this Teaching Unit, the teaching is a facilitator who guides the process instead of a lecturer who transmits knowledge. This is why the teacher will also be in charge of working on a country and representing it just as students will. In every class, the teacher will show an example of what students are asked to do.
