PRACTICUM V

My name is Maria and I am a soon-to-be Primary School teacher. I am from Barcelona and I am 21 years old. I am just about to finish my degree and I am ready to start my adventure as a teacher. I love listening to music and travelling is my passion. I speak 5 languages (Spanish, Catalan, English, French and Italian) but my favourite one is English, that is why I am eager to teach English and in English.

I regard myself as an adequate profile for a future teacher. Above all I am a very empathetic person which I think is essential for an educator as we have in our hands the success and development of children. In addition to that I am an open-minded person and I try not to be judgemental and this is a feature which I regard as noteworthy. I am very outgoing and sociable which I believe is absolutely important so as to create dynamic atmospheres in which children feel at ease.

 

Moreover, I am a very affective person which I think is a feature all teachers should have since our students are children and are more fragile and they always appreciate an affective treatment. Last but not least, I am a rather ambitious person which I regard as a useful characteristic for an educator to have. In my case I have the desire to change and improve education practices and having such responsibility makes me take my profession very seriously and be very committed to it.
