PRACTICUM V

sessions 5 & 6

My presentation

My country of choice was the United Kingdom. For my final presentation, I made up a game in which I would show pictures related to the country and they had to guess what it was or how it was related to the country. The class was divided into two groups and we had a competition.
After they had guessed about the picture I told them a curiosity about each picture to make the game more fun.
At the end of the presentation, we pretended it was 5 pm to have English tea, they all ate tea biscuits, smelt a bad of English tea and could touch pounds.

Swans are protected by the queen and killing them is illegal!

Preparing their presentations

Students were asked to prepare a presentation without using a power point as they usually do. They were asked to be creative and surprise their classmates. There were no rules, no limitations, everything was permited. The only requirement was mentioning some basic data about their country:

  • Country

  • Capital

  • Official currency

  • Official language

Daily report

During these sessions of rather free and autonomous work where they had pretty much no guidelines or limitations, they were asked to fill in a report in which they assessed their own work.
